These giant magnetic letters are a must for teaching the Letters and Sounds programme, supporting whole-class phonics instruction. The letter patterns represented follow the progression of Letters and Sounds and are colour coded to make learning easier and fun. As you introduce each sound week by week, you can keep it on the top of the whiteboard so that words can be created from letters that have previously been taught. Children can see the process of blending by pushing the letters together and segmenting by pulling the letters apart.

After whole class instruction children can break up into pairs and practise with the smaller Smart Phonics magnetic letters (available separately) for reinforcement and consolidation.
